What we did:
When it comes to offering advanced IT support, there is nothing better than streamlining and speeding up the process with the help of QR Code labels. As such a remarkable opportunity arose as we collaborated with RMIT, a prestigious Australian university and a valued, long-term partner. They challenged us to create highly efficient QR code labels for their extensive array of campus equipment. These custom-printed labels served the purpose of helping students and staff with seamless access to RMIT's IT services and effortlessly setting up new laptops through the magic of QR code scanning.
What we delivered:
Before initiating the work, our team of printing experts made sure to gain a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s specific needs to offer them reliable advice. RMIT requested labels in two sizes: 50mm x 50mm and a smaller size 20mm x 30mm. Their requirement was for the larger label to be easily removable, while the smaller label was intended for permanent use.
We understood the requirements and opted for PP Removable material without any laminate to print the larger labels (50mm x 50mm). The purpose of these labels was to be affixed to a new laptop surface, which, when scanned, would lead the user to a guide on how to set up the new computer. After the setup was complete, the label could be removed. PP removable offers a shiny glossy effect to the label and is best known to be easily removed from a variety of surfaces without leaving any residue, which made it the perfect choice.
For the smaller size 20mm x 30mm, the label was required to stay on the IT equipment for an extended period of time as it offered a way to access IT services at any given time. To ensure the longevity of the label, our team suggested using PP white material with a PP laminate. This material is best known to resist water, chemicals, and moisture. It can withstand heat and offers excellent electrical insulation properties which makes it a suitable choice for labels intended to go on electrical equipment.

The permanent labels provided a reliable and durable solution for long-term use, while the removable labels ensured easy and residue-free application during laptop setup.
